It’s just 15 days until Christmas! Today is a day for wrapping up gifts and loose ends, mailing out cards, baking for our neighbors, and overall just getting festive. My day started earlier than normal thanks to a furnace/thermostat that decided 4 am was a good time to konk out; but, I’m actually grateful because it allowed me a chance (albeit a chilly one) to witness the magical winter wonderland that was our neighborhood this morning. I bundled up and took a quiet walk in fresh powdery snow while stars faded out and the houses around me started to wake up. Definitely not the worst way to start a Wednesday…

Currently, I’m sitting at our kitchen table sipping a steaming cup of fennel tea while big fat snowflakes fall just outside the window beside me. I’m making lists upon lists and finishing up some online orders so that they’ll get here in time for the 25th. And crooning away in the background is Sam Smith wishing me a merry little Christmas.

This year I rediscovered a love of Christmas music, and made a point to search out new artists and fun takes on holiday classics. I compiled my favorites into a Spotify playlist and wanted to pop up this post before starting to tackle my very big to do list!
