Vanilla "Cookie Dough" Date Smoothie for Pregnancy
An alternate name for this smoothie would be “cervix-ripening date smoothie” but I think we can all agree that doesn’t sound overly appetizing. ;) However, because this smoothie includes 3 medjool dates, it can have a softening effect on the cervix when consumed daily in the third trimester - this has been proven to be beneficial in shortening the first stage of labor!
I’ve also packed this smoothie full of hidden protein, healthy fats and fiber - you won’t even know it’s in there, and it makes this smoothie an entire meal for busy pregnant mamas on-the-go. Plus, it truly does taste like vanilla cookie dough in liquid form. My husband even said it’s delicious!
Date Smoothie For a Shorter Labor

Let’s jump right into it. Here’s what you’ll need to whip up this Vanilla Cookie Dough Date Smoothie:
1 cup milk (I use whole milk)
1/2 cup 0% vanilla greek yogurt
1 small banana (or 1/2 large banana)
2-3 medjool dates, pitted and chopped
1 tbsp. ground chia seeds
1 scoop vanilla protein powder
How-to make:
Add all ingredients to a blender. Blend until smooth.
Pour over ice, and enjoy!
