Holy Grail Drugstore Foundation For Oily Skin
This foundation deserved it's own blog post. As most ladies with oily skin know, it's hard to find a good foundation. And if you have oily and pale skin, it's even harder. I've found that a lot of foundations aimed at oilier skin types also tend to oxidize more. Why? I have absolutely no idea. But after 15 years of experience, I know this to be true. ;)
Enter the Covergirl Trublend Matte Made Foundation....
First of all the formula is beautifullllll. It blends nicely onto skin with either a beauty blender or a makeup brush (this is the best foundation brush I've ever used), and blurs out pores, imperfections and fine lines pretty effortlessly. It's long wearing, and that's coming from me - the girl with the oiliest skin on the planet (pretty sure lol). I can get a solid 6 hours out of this foundation before having to blot. That's crazy good for my skin type!
And while this foundation does oxidize, Covergirl offers this formula with an incredible shade range for a drugstore brand. For reference, I'm an NC10 in the MAC Studio Fix Fluid, and even that is too dark for me. I find that mixing the shades L15 and L20 in the Matte Made formula creates my perfect shade!
This foundation has become my everyday go-to. The formula is a match made in heaven for my skin, and the price is a dream come true for my wallet. Done and done.
