How To Use Tailwind Tribes FREE

Today I’m letting you in on a little (read: awesome) Tailwind hack that allows you to use the Tribes feature in Tailwind completely and totally free.

Note: This post is intended for people who already use a Tailwind free account and who understand how to navigate the app. If you are brand spanking new to Tailwind, I suggest watching and reading their intro content here first, signing up for your free account, and then coming back to this post!

CAN YOU USE TAILWIND TRIBES ON A FREE TAILWIND ACCOUNT?

Yes, you can totally use tailwind tribes on a free tailwind account, even if your 100 free trial time-slots are used up! It’s simpler than you might think, but also takes a bit more manual effort within the Tailwind app.

Here’s the deal. When you sign up for a Tailwind Free trial you immediately get 100 free scheduling time-slots in the Tailwind Publisher along with access to 5 free Tailwind Tribes (and 30 pin submissions each month). Here’s the confusing bit; Tailwind says that Tribes are available to use in free accounts even after a free trial has ended BUT… once the free trial has ended you lose access to the scheduling tool. In order to use Tailwind Tribes as instructed by Tailwind, you need to use the scheduler. Heh? HEH???

SO WHAT’S THE WORKAROUND?

Since you lose access to the scheduler when using a free Tailwind account, you have to take a few extra manual steps to ensure you’re properly sharing pins from Tribes and getting credit for them.

When using a paid Tailwind account you would choose a pin from a Tribe, add it to your queue, and from there Tailwind would add that pin to your schedule to be automatically published to Pinterest in the next available time-slot. In a paid Tailwind account, you would not need to navigate away from the Tribe page to take any further actions on that pin, as it would be automatically scheduled and published to Pinterest for you.

When using a free Tailwind account (with no remaining free time-slots available in your schedule), Tailwind will no longer automatically publish pins from your schedule. You will have to take that action manually. Want to see how? Watch the video below:

Pinterest is without a doubt the best social platform to use if you’re looking to harness organic traffic. It’s the only platform left where you don’t necessarily have to pay to play; you can totally use Pinterest ads, but you don’t have to to see amazing growth. Let’s take advantage of this while it lasts. Tailwind Tribes is the best tool to help you do that quickly and efficiently, and now you can do so without opening up your wallet. ;)

Something I feel I need to say is that Tribes is an awesome tool, but if you’re not creating quality pins that link to quality content, no amount of pinning will prompt growth. You need to deliver!
